Help tell the story of how Cornish Mining shaped our world

Welcome to Mine&Yours

The Mine&Yours activity guide is designed to introduce you to the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site. It suggests places to see and things to do – from museums to cycle trails to Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty – along with details about getting there, eating and drinking and even dog friendliness.

It also has lots of tools to help you make the book your own personal response to your visit. Click on the ‘See inside’ links (right) to get a flavour of what’s inside this innovative, beautifully photographed and illustrated activity guide.

Do it!

Share with us the things you did on your visit to the World Heritage Site.

The Do It! section of Mine&Yours gives you lots of creative ideas to get started. Collaging, drawing and painting, exploring rockpools, making sound recordings - your own personal response to the Site will be uniquely valuable to us. Below is an excerpt to give you a flavour of the Do It! activities.

Map making
Try drawing a personal map of your visit. For example you could draw where you had lunch, where you heard or smelt certain sounds or smells, where you saw a seal or a flower or a bird… you tell us!
